What great day we had! Since this was officially the 2nd BIG event of the year, and having a very full cleanup schedule during 2025, we decided to downsize and make the fall Reef and Beach Cleanup a one day event.
Although smaller all around, we still managed to collect 10,460 lbs of debris to be sorted and scored! 125 volunteers brought in over 60 shoes, 16 tires, a few couches, a shopping cart and a trampoline were among the items collected.
Star performances by Team TCI No-See-Um’s with 1,901 total lbs and Team Reef Innovations with a total of 1,189 lbs. This year we had a large group of Cub Scouts join in the fun! Broken out into 5 teams, Team Dory dominated with 1,391 total lbs of debris. The group collected a total of 1,655 lbs total. These kids REALLY made an impact, and we hope they come back again next year!
Kids laughed, adults mingled, and the whole day reminded us why this isn’t just a cleanup—it’s a community celebration!
