Our local diving community joined forces for an epic underwater cleanup at the Riverside Boat Ramp in Palmetto! 
With the amazing support of Keep Manatee Beautiful and Suncoast Aqua Ventures, 69 volunteers scoured the depths to remove trash and help restore our waterways. Employees of the City of Bradenton were right there alongside them, making waves in the cleanup effort. From experienced scuba divers to topside helpers and kayakers, every effort made a difference.
A total of 4900 lbs. of debris was removed from the river. Most unique find was an AR15! Among the volunteers were members of SCRR, SSC, SUC and 5 law enforcement.
